X52CrNiCuNb17-4-4

Stainless steel grade 1.4548 , 17-4PH and 1.4542 have similar analytical conditions, it is a stainless steel with high yield strength, high wear resistance and good corrosion resistance.

Due to the combination of corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties, this material 17-4PH is also suitable for use in marine environments.

1.4548, popularly known as AISI 630 and UNS S17400

Weldability

1.4548 can be welded according to common gas shielded welding procedures. Pre-heating was not needed r and s risk of cracking in the regions affected by the SI is low. After welding, a renewed precipitation hardening is required to achieve the desired properties.

Machinability

S stainless steel 1.4550 oğuk handle the buttons is limited. The most favorable conditions are H 1075 to H 1150 where high ductility is present. For thinner sections, cold forming can be done in solution annealed condition.

Cutting or machining is more difficult than conventional construction steels. Attention should be paid to suitable cutting tools and cutting conditions, adequate cooling and sharp cutting edges.
