Physical Properties
DIN EN 1.4571 material (X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2) is made by adding titanium (Ti) to EN 1.4401 stainless steel (X5CrNiMo17-12-2) to increase resistance to corrosion. Titanium can increase the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, especially intergranular corrosion, effectively prevent the sensitivity of stainless steel, and also increase the stability of steel at high temperature and high pressure. When the mass ratio of titanium is between 0.03% and 0.1%, the yield strength of steel increases. Therefore, EN 1.4571 material has higher temperature, corrosion resistance and susceptibility resistance than 1.4401.
